To all powerful ladies out there: You don’t need to become stronger, tougher or more courageous in order to “make it" in your career. You are already strong.
Instead of pushing women to become “more assertive” in their work places, I empower women to dare to be themselves - because women’s natural leadership skills such as empathy and emotional intelligence are needed everywhere in our society.
That’s why I am a speaker at international organisations and companies to bring men and women together on the topic of authentic leadership. Because the infamous “glass ceiling” cannot be broken by women alone - it needs to be opened up “from above”: by true change-makers in leadership positions who are ready to change structures and to work towards a more open, transparent and diverse work culture in their organisations.
To support women in the process, I have created Women Group Programmes that are a little different from classic “women empowerment trainings” and a 1:1 Mentoring Programme for women who work in “alpha” work environments and who want to make their feminine authenticity their superpower for their career.
Hi, I am Helene.
I am a mentor, workshop host and speaker who has created "Let's Just Be Imperfect, Ladies" in 2020 after my 10 year career as senior communication advisor at the European Commission.
As a young woman in high-level positions I tried to "fit in" for a long time: I tried to become stronger, tougher and more assertive. In short: less young, less female. But I failed. I had a burnout. In the process I realised that only by being "me", and not by trying to "be someone" will I become a true leader with her authentic feminine strengths.
So here I am today: I've created my own mentoring business to inspire women to be true to themselves in their full female potential and create their own definition of authentic success.
And I advise male and female leaders in power positions who have a genuine interest in creating work environments that allow both men and women to fulfill their full potential and to contribute with their unique perspective - because when women can be themselves, many men will also feel less pressure to conform to “alpha” power structures.
“Many work structures are simply not designed for female strengths and not welcoming for diversity and authenticity. My message after 10 years of being “the young woman” in senior jobs myself: when we stop fixing women and start fixing work cultures together with the leaders who are currently at the top, we will change power structures and our economy to welcome more diverse voices and perspectives.”

Keynote speech
Your organisation wants to become more open for women in leadership positions - I will help you find the confidence, the drive and the way forward. As a keynote speaker, I will inspire your leadership team, your staff or your online audience to change perspective when “not enough women applied for the top jobs” and provide concrete ways forward for women, men and leadership teams on how to create more balance and diversity for better results.
Women Leadership Workshops
My workshops are a little different from classic “women empowerment" trainings: instead of training women to become “tougher” and “more assertive”, they focus on strengthening women to become more confident in their natural qualities: their empathy, their ability to express emotions, to admit mistakes and their power to think in alliances rather than in competition. These leadership skills are clearly needed in many work environments - and a key component to make diversity possible.
1-1 Mentoring over three months
In my 1:1 mentoring, I accompany women in high-pressure jobs for 3 months so that they can unlock their full potential & their calling by finding their space as a powerful and confident woman in the corridors of power. I accompany them trough career transitions, through exhaustion and I give them concrete tools to remain confident from within, even in the presence of that one intimidating alpha colleague at the other end of the meeting table or Zoom meeting.
